Hi, I’m Tom Pitman, the Director and Mortgage and Insurance Adviser at TGP Mortgage & Insurance. I founded TGP to transform the mortgage landscape, making it more approachable, streamlined, and accessible. My mission is to provide the best advice and customer service to everyone, ensuring that the mortgage process is as smooth and stress-free as possible.
My career in the mortgage industry began when I was just 20 years old, working my way up from an administrator at a mortgage firm. Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to help hundreds of people secure their dream homes. Working with well-known local companies, I have built a solid reputation in Wrexham through word of mouth.
I am passionate about what I do, and I genuinely care for every client I help. I believe that financial services still carry too much stigma, which can make the mortgage process feel overwhelming. My success over the years can be attributed to my honesty, hard work, and ability to explain complex financial decisions in a way that is easy to understand. My goal is for every client to leave a conversation feeling more confident, knowledgeable, and relaxed.
You won’t find me in a suit and tie. Instead, you’ll see me in comfortable clothing, ready to have a friendly and approachable conversation. I aim to create a business and culture that breaks down the traditional barriers and stereotypes in the financial industry. My focus is on making you feel comfortable and ensuring that everything is explained clearly and comprehensively.
As an independent, whole-of-market mortgage adviser, I don’t rely on just one bank. I search the entire market, comparing a variety of lenders to find the best possible deals for you. Although I am based in Wrexham, I can assist clients across the UK. What sets me apart from others is that I don’t charge any application or broker fees. Like most brokers, I get paid commission by lenders, but I choose not to pass additional fees onto my clients.
I hold the industry-standard Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP), which meets the requirements set by the Financial Conduct Authority to practice as a licensed adviser. This certification is held by 80% of UK advisers, ensuring that I am well-qualified to provide you with expert advice.
I started TGP Mortgage & Insurance because I wanted to create a mortgage advisory service that prioritises customer service and transparency. My goal is to make the mortgage world less daunting and more accessible, providing tailored advice that suits each individual’s needs.
